The Ukraine`s judiciary will mull over the issue of extradition of Oleg Melnikov, former senior official of the Constitutional Security Department, in a few days. Melnikov was arrested in Ukraine a few days ago as he was wanted by Interpol under the request of the Georgian side.
Melnikov`s lawyer says his defendant does not recognize himself guilty and is prepared to prove his innocence. Melnikov and several other former officers were charged with abuse of duties - the case was built up on the fact of abusing police officers.
