Georgian Party accuses the chairperson of the parliamentary committee for human rights, MP Eka Beselia of taking unilateral decisions. The members of the party founded by Irakli Okruashvili, who are serving their sentences at Georgia`s different prisons, say the fact that their names along with the name of Okruashvili were removed from the list of political prisoners approved by the parliament last week, say the selection of the persons for the list was tied to personal interests of Beselia.
The arrested members of the party demand granting status of political prisoners to them, otherwise, they threaten to go on hunger strike from December 17.
Members of the committee define that the list of the political prisoners was made impartially and Okruashvili was not included in it because he had not passed necessary procedures.
