Ex-minister of justice of Georgia, Zurab Adeishvili, who fled Georgia after the parliamentary elections and is currently asking political asylum abroad, will be soon wanted by Interpol. Chief prosecutor`s office will send a corresponding motion to the ministry of internal affairs later today and demand proper measures.
At the same time, the lawyer of the fugitive minister is waiting for the ruling of the Appeal Court - the defense has demanded nullification of the city court`s sanction, which sent Adeishvili to custody in absentia and restoration of his diplomatic and civil ID documents, four passports in total.
Adeishvili was charged with four articles of the criminal code, including abuse of duties and organizing inhumane and humiliating treatment of prisoners.
