The Board of Trustees of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) may be summoned to the parliament at an extraordinary sitting.
One part of GPB's employees came out with this initiative. The Parliamentary Committee of Education, Science and Culture will presumably listen to the Board. According to Eliso Chapize, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, the committee will not make any decision, however, over the latest developments at GPB.
Levan Gakheladze, Chairman of Board of Trustees of GPB said that based on the acting legislation, the Board is not obliged to show up at the parliament at this moment. According to the law, the Board is obliged to present the annual report of its activities on annual basis on May 5.
