Political council of the Georgian Dream ruling party will discuss the behavior of the majority MP Koba Davitashvili after Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili returns from Strasburg. Ivanishvili is participating in the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
MP Davitashvili alleged the minister of health care of possible deals and lobbying of insurance companies when working on the state insurance strategy. He says the insurance policy of the government is focused on the interests of insurance companies instead of the health of citizens.
Bidzina Ivanishvili slammed his team member for making public statements instead of discussing any suspicious issues publicly. He said he even called him on telephone and scolded for such behavior.
`I am not gong to discuss telephone conversations publicly,` Koba Davitashvili commented on Prime Minister`s interview.
The MP says he did not violate the team rules asserting he had asked audience with the Prime Minister twice along with raising same issue at the sessions of the faction and the government. Only afterwards he decided to make public statements about problems in the insurance strategy.
