Soso Robakidze suspects that the former minister of interior Irakli Okruashvili is lobbied by current authorities. Father of Buta Robakidze, who was killed by a police officer in 2004 when the minister was Irakli Okruashvili, briefed at the Radio One press club today and presented his presumptions about the investigation.
`Why are they saving Okruashvili? I doubt that somebody is protecting him. The person, who we called the member of Death Brigade years ago, was not even charged for misuse of authority and was released from prison,` Robakidze said and added the case would be sent to Strasburg Court if the investigation results are not satisfactory.
At today`s press conference, Robakidze presented the testimony of one of the witnesses, who says that the head of the MIA analytical department in that period and the producer of the Video Patrol program, Guram Donadze met with that time minister Okruashvili a few days after the murder and after that meeting he began to fabricate the video depicting the special operation.
