President of Georgia has expressed his concerns regarding the decision of the government to hand over the building of the Batumi technological university to the Batumi municipal government. President`s statement was published on the official page on facebook today. President says several million GEL was invested in the construction of the modern building for the university and more millions were intended to be invested in the opening of a modern technological university, which would educate and train specialists of various spheres.
`It will be the first university of international standards in Georgia and most of the students will be able to study there for free. It was the plan. It`s a pity that I have to say that this decision is destructive and uncivilized and it is against the future of Georgia. This decision should be expected only from Talibs then from the government of a European state of the 21st century. I call on the Prime Minister to revise this decision,` President`s statement says.
