Georgian governmental officials have attended the ceremony of opening the reconstructed customs exit-point Kazbegi on Georgia-Russia Border. Georgian Prime Minister`s special representative Zurab Abashidze, members of the cabinet and revenue office visited the new check point today. Minister of Economics, Giorgi Kvirikashvili said the Kazbegi exit-point would serve the increased number of travelers and transit vehicles; the modern infrastructure provides full service, including scanning systems for trucks and non-standard vehicles, as well as special tracks for the disabled.
Before the reconstruction, the exit-point could serve only 5 thousand visitors daily, but now it is capable to pass 13 thousand visitors.
