Mayor of the seaport city of Poti has resigned - Davit Sarsania has already submitted resignation statement to the city`s self-government for confirmation. Davit Sarsania says his decision was motivated by another job offer. It is supposed that Sarsania will be appointed at one of senior positions in Samegrelo Zemo Svaneti Region`s administration.
After the city assembly suspends duties to the resigned mayor, his deputy will be the mayor`s designate until June, when a new mayor will be elected at the self-government elections
