Yesterday, within the frames of the official visit to Great
Britain, Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Tchikaidze met with National
Crime Agency Director in agency Headquarters informs GHN according to MIA
report.
At the meeting sides have signed the memorandum of understanding
on co-operation (including trafficking, drug related crime and cybercrime) in
the sphere of the fight against organized crime and exchange of information.
Aleksandre Tchikaidze and Tim Simington discussed cooperation issues and future
plans.
Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Tchikaidze also visited
Operative Command Center of London Police and received information on reaction
and handling of incidents by the police forces. After the meeting Minister
visited Former Ambassador of Great Britain to Georgia Judith Goff, presently
Director of Eastern Europe and Central Asian Department at Foreign and
Commonwealth Affairs Ministry. Sides discussed issues of cooperation during the
meeting. Within the frames of the visit Minister will hold introductory
meetings at Scotland Yard headquarters. Minister will also meet National Crime
Agency Director at the central office of the organization, where sides will
sign memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation.
