International Center on Conflict and Negotiation together with Institute for Multi-Track Diplomacy - Georgia is pleased to invite you to attend a conference on January 28 at the office of ICCN. The conference is a first of in our long term initiative: Disarmament and Peace Building in South Caucasus.
At this conference we would like to focus on challenges and opportunities for peace building in Georgia and potential prospects of cooperation between South Caucasian countries in the fields of ecological and economic security. What kind of role Georgia can play in establishing framework for this collaboration between South Caucasian Countries?
Starting at 11 a.m. we will hold a whole day conference at ICCN office (Machabeli 5, Tbilisi) and will bring experts in military, environment and economics and members of international community.
The agenda of conference will include:
1. Non-proliferation of Conventional arms;
2. Ways of reducing legal military trade;
3. Ways to combat illegal military trafficking through Georgia and South Caucasus in general;
4. Main problems and challenges in military non-proliferation;
5. Constructive ways to overcome these problems;
6. Searching for common ground in environmental protection;
7. Searching for concrete ways of economic development and collaboration.
The event will be held in Georgian and in English.
