Tbilisi Mayor's Office has made a statement where it welcomes
the decision of City Assembly about taking concrete actions on the issue of
approving Tbilisi budget, reports GHN.
“We express readiness to participate in working
process of commissions and fractions, meet City Assembly members or interested groups
of society and share any sound proposals offered by them,” – says the statement.
Mayor’s Office called politically motivated and
unjustified the declarations made by City Assembly’s members regarding
resignation of Governors, Mayor’s Deputies and other public officials who where
directly elected by Tbilisi Mayor. “All this is aimed towards halting progress
on approving budget and repealing self governance in Tbilisi.” – mentioned the
statement.
Tbilisi City Hall office also suggested Chairman
of City Assembly and Assembly’s majority to provide them with remarks related
to financial document in a written form in order to avoid artificial prevention
of budget approval.
