Prime
Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, together with the Georgian delegation,
met with the US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and Minister of Defense of
Great Britain, Philip Hammond later that day.
The
meetings were held within the Munich Security Conference.
The
key issues covered between parties have been:
- Relations between the countries
- Defense and security directions of their cooperation
- Georgia’s integration with NATO; progress made
in this direction and NATO's next summit.
Georgia's
contribution to the ISAF-led peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan was underlined
during both meetings, reports GHN based on Prime Minister's Press Service
information.
Meeting
with US and UK officials where attended by the Ministers of Defense and Foreign
Affairs of Georgia.
