A decision on releasing former Georgian Defence
Minister Davit Kezerashvili on bail will be announced by a French judge today.
According to Kezerashvili’s lawyers, there are no
grounds for leaving Kezerashvili in custody till the announcement of the
verdict.
“Whether Kezerasvhili will be released or not depends
on the decision of French judge” – told the lawyer while expressing his hope for a
positive outcome, reports GHN.
Davit Kezerashvili was arrested in France by the
request of the Georgian side. Two criminal cases have been launched against
Kezerashvili in Georgia.
The French court will make a decision about
Kezerashvili’s extradition on February 27.
