Georgia will participate in
a peacekeeping operation in Central Africa managed by EU. The decision was made
by Georgian Government during a government session today, reported
InterperssNews.
According to Defence
Minsiter Irakli Alasania’s commentary hundred militaries of Georgian armed
forces will participate in the mission that will last 6 months.
“Government of Georgia
discussed an offer from EU about inclusion of Georgia in EU managed operation in
Republic of Central Africa, and decision has been made that Georgia will
participate in the operation”, stated Alasania.
Defence Minsiter called the
mission “humanitarian and morally acceptable”. He also mentioned that mission
was implemented in accordance to United Nations resolution.
