Organizers of the Game Jam festival held
a press conference concerning the festival and development of the interactive
applications at the InterPressNews office.
According to the organizers, Global Game
Jam is the biggest event in the computer gaming industry, which is held all
over the world, reports Georgiannews.
Predefined teams will create games and
present them. The best game designers will be awarded.
Georgia will join
Game Jam-festival taking place around the world on February 22. "Expo
Georgia" will host the festival.
189 contestants have already registered
professional programmers, innovators, and some new talents – among them.
Global "Game Jam" (GGJ) is an
annual event, led by the International Game Developers Association (IGDA).
In January 2013, in 309 locations of 63
countries more than 3000 games have been created during just one weekend.
The main sponsor and organizer of the
event is the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
