Prime Minister carried on his scheduled appointments
by meeting US Representative Steny Hoyer. According to Prime Minister's
Press Service the sides discussed the strategy of Georgia's
economic development.
According to Irakli Garibashvili, the government
implements a number of reforms to improve the country's economy.
Prime Minister also spoke about prospects of
furthering US-Georgia trade and economic relations, pointing out that the
Georgian Government attaches great importance to negotiations on top-level
trade and investment relations between US and Georgia.
According to Irakli Garibashvili's explanation,
the Georgian Government expects particular steps toward the execution of the
free trade agreement with US.
The meeting with US Representative Hoyer was
attended by Georgian Foreign Affairs Minister Maia Panjikidze, State Minister
on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Alex Petriashvili, Georgian
Ambassador to US Archil Gegeshidze, and Adviser for the Foreign Relations
Service of the Chancellery of the Georgian Government Davit Magradze.
