Our government is working on the state politics that is totally orientated on human; we try to support the social justice and sense of solidarity in country, finally to develop solidary society, without this it is impossible to imagine civilized state and civilized society, - stated the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili in the first meeting of the Supervisory Board of Solidarity Fund, that was held under the guidance of the leader of the government today, reports GHN.
As Prime Minister that said without the social unanimity it will be hard for the country that is trying to stand on its feet to solve all the problems of the citizens.
"Without civil unanimity even for developed countries is hard to solve all the problems not to talk about our country. The first step of this process is foundation of "Solidarity Fund of Georgia," stated Irakli Garibashvili.
As the leader of the government declared in 2013 year the growth of health budget was unprecedented and more than 2 million citizens, who didn't have medical insurance already uses overall health program, though there are many kind of expensive medical services which is not fully covered unfortunately by existed state resources right now.
"Exactly this issue we have to solve with the initiative and we founded fund the activity of which takes into account co-participation of state, social and private sector to mobilize alternative not budget resources. It will create possibility to maximally solve most painful and nearly unresolved issue - with the help of these funds, whole society, with our solidarity will be able to finance treatment of children that are ill with tough deceases and also to finance social issues that are priority," states Prime Minister.
Irakli Garibashvili explained that mobilization of resources in fund will happen with the principle of solidarity - with voluntary donations of individual citizens and corporations. Besides the fund will work maximally transparently and supervisory board and committee that will work permanently will manage it. In the activity of the fund together with state sector there will be involved nongovernmental, private sectors, also representatives of UN and other international organizations. Prime Minister is sure that no one will doubt transparency and also targeted use of the funds.
"I hope that with effective entry into force of the fund country will solve the problem of oncologic patients. The step by step widening of the activity of the fund will created possibility to deal with most acute medical and social issues," stated Prime Minister.
Irakli Garibashvili thanked 14 thousand public servants who joined the initiative of the fund in July, also those people who voluntarily paid even one lari into the fund.
"I am sure that we and whole our society will reach the point when solidarity and co-help will be the rule of life," said the leader of the government.
