President of Georgia offers initiative to increase the constituent of Security Council. Concerning future functioning of National Security Council Giorgi Margvelashvili while presenting his view about the issue states that it is desired to increase the constituent of Security Council, reports GHN.
"We think that it will be reasonable to add as permanent members of Security Council the speaker of the parliament, also chairmen of committees of defense, security and foreign affairs, also chief of general headquarters.
"This way representation of three state institutions- president, government and parliament - in this constitutional organ will be optimal and the Security Council will be formed this way: president, secretary of Security Council, speaker of parliament, chairman of committees of defense, security and foreign affairs, Prime Minister, Ministers of defense, internal affairs and finances, minister for reconciliation and civic equality, minister on European and Euro-Atlantic integration, chief of general headquarters. In case of necessity there will be invited other persons too.
National Security Council institutionally provides president's working collaboration with government and also parliament, stated president of Georgia.
