September 9, at 11:00 on "Wissol" Digomi patrol station (13th km) the project "Walking Library" on the frame "Book for Every Village" will start journey to highland villages of Borjomi. At 13:00 in central park of Borjomi the walking library will be met by the representatives of local municipality and will hand literature gathered in Borjomi, reports GHN.
The project "Book for Every Village" will be implemented with the initiative of non-governmental and private sector, Georgian Patriarchy and organization "Student Unity" and "Friend of Book." With the support of the Ministry of Sport Youth Affairs, Children and Youth Development Fund, "Wissol Group," youth movement of patriarchy "Davitianni," "Bakur Sulakauri Publishing," "Palitra L," National Library of Georgia the libraries of Svaneti, Imereti, Kakheti, Mtskheta-Mtianeti and Adjara will be provided with books. The project aims to make popularization of the book in villages that are located far from regional centers. The winner project of the grant of Children and Youth Development and that unites partner organizations mentioned above has begun from August 1. The society has possibility to bring books in "Wissol" patrol stations, net of supermarket "Smart", in net of American restaurants "Wendie", in offices of "Davitianni" in Rustaveli Ave No21/23 and in Sameba Church. After sorting books by the National Library "Walking Library" will stop in big towns of Georgia and with the help of local events will give possibility to the population to gift books to be involved in educational project. "The Book for Every Village" is long term project and right now aims to provide with the books Borjomi and Tsagveri highland villagies. Due to the activity of the population the project will provide with books libraries of other regions too.
