Poland now does not sell weapons to Ukraine, but is not against cooperation with Kyiv in this area.
Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Poland Tomasz Siemoniak said in an interview with Polish Radio "Jedynka."
"I hope to negotiate on this case (arms sales - Ed.). I think the less conversations on this topic, the better. These are questions that need to be addressed, but not speculated about it in the media," Siemoniak said, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
He informed that he will hold negotiations on military cooperation with Defense Minister of Ukraine Valeriy Heletey, who is soon to visit Poland.
Commenting on Heletey's words that one country has been supplying weapons to Ukraine, Siemoniak stressed that "it is not Poland."
However, he said, there are no formal obstacles to the arms sales to Ukraine. "All members of the European Union can sell weapons to Ukraine. First, we must determine whether it is possible and real, and that Ukraine's needs coincide with our capabilities, then we will think about it," the Polish Minister said.
