The Bagrati temple was consecrated in Kutaisi, Imereti region, today. Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia ll along with clergymen delivered a sermon in the temple.
People arrived from various regions of Georgia to attend the consecration ceremony.
The church was built by Bagrat III, in X-XI centuries, and it was a symbol of unity. By the end of the 17th century, the charch was destroyed by Ottomans. Restoration of the temple started in 2009.
