Today, August 27, 13:00 the Public Defender Ucha Nanuashvili and members of the "Fact Finding Commission of Lafankuri special operation" will visit Pankisi gorge and will meet local population, reports GHN.
As a result of special operation in 2012, 28-29 August in Lopota gorge, near village Lafankuri died 3 Georgian members of special service personnel and 7 Kist fighters. After two years after operation the results of investigation are still not known. According to Public Defender "the family members of victims are not satisfied with investigation that last too long and demand timely and objective investigation."
